Mean Chey University (MCU) invited the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC) to train its staff on ‘Creating Assessment Rubric on Students’ Behavior to Meet the Institution’s Need’ which was held on 28-29 March 2019 at Mean Chey University.
The purpose of this seminar was to help the University lecturers and management team to effectively write a good assessment rubrics to assess students’ behavior.
On Day 1:
The workshop started by presenting and discussing the important roles of the university IQA on assuring the standard performance of the university and seeking strategic mechanism to help providing better educational services for the students, teachers and staff at the university. Then, the workshop also provided the nature of the students’ behavioural attributes such as honesty, communication, collaboration, punctuality, self-motivation and so on and why they were importantly assessed.
On Day 2:
The participants were asked to work in group on creating students’ behavioural attribute. Each group participants worked on one of the selected students’ behavioural attributes such as honesty, communication, collaboration, punctuality, self-motivation and presented in afternoon along with the feedback from the trainer.
In sum, the seminar provided a platform for discussing shared challenges, concerns, innovative ideas and future expectations which may then be applied to individual IQA practices and/or future IQA processes.
